Seasonal Weekly Train Rides

All aboard for weekend train adventures in the heart of Portland! From summer through fall, join us on Saturdays and Sundays for a scenic ride behind our diesel locomotive, BNSF 3613.

Enjoy the breeze in an open-air car or relax in comfort in a vintage, air-conditioned coach. Along the route, take in city skyline views, the riverfront, local wildlife, and the timeless charm of Oaks Park. It’s a classic rail experience the whole family will treasure.

Advance ticket purchase recommended. Admission to the Center is included with your train ticket.

Pricing

Adults (14+) – $17
Children (3-13) – $12
Infants (Under 3) – Free on lap
Senior (65+) & Military – $15 (must show military ID at check-in)
Family Pass – $50 (2 adults and 2 children)

Day Of

Trains depart from the Oregon Rail Heritage Center promptly at the time on your ticket. Please arrive at least 20 minutes early to check in and board. See more information on our FAQs page.

Special Event Steam Excursions

Take a special themed train ride pulled by a historic steam locomotive. These specialty excursions feature festive décor, added perks, and plenty of fun. From celebrating Valentine’s Day and St. Patrick’s Day to riding along with the Easter Bunny and honoring dads on Father’s Day, each journey offers an extra-special steam experience.
